what is womb medicine?

This workshop is a nurturing space for women to reconnect with their bodies, honor their wombs, and heal the energy held within the pelvis. Many of us carry experiences such as sexual trauma, birth trauma, chronic conditions (like endometriosis or PCOS), or life experiences that have impacted our womb space. This is an opportunity to meet these parts of ourselves with compassion and intention, in a supportive, trauma-informed setting.

The Psoas, Pelvis, and Energetic Connection.

The psoas muscle, a powerful core muscle, is intimately linked with the pelvis and the deep-rooted experiences we hold there. Known as the "muscle of the soul," the psoas carries emotional memories, fear responses, and tension that can stem from past traumas or challenging life events. Tension in the psoas can contribute to physical discomfort, but it can also affect our emotional resilience and sense of safety.

`Energetically, the pelvis is a reservoir of creativity, grounding, and personal power. When we connect with this space through movement, breath, and gentle exploration, we begin to release stored energy and access our deeper creative potential. An intriguing link exists between the jaw, voice, and pelvis; when trauma is held in the pelvis, it can also create tension and constriction in the jaw, affecting our capacity to speak openly and claim our voice. By working with the pelvis, we may also experience a softening and liberation of the voice.

As a trauma-informed breathwork practitioner and mental health nurse, I am committed to creating a safe, compassionate environment for you to reconnect with yourself. This workshop is about personal connection, not sharing your personal story. While each participant comes with their own experiences, every woman in this room shares the desire to heal and honor this sacred part of her body.

Modalities for Healing and Connection:

Our journey will incorporate a blend of techniques to support body and mind healing, including:

  • Breathwork to deepen connection and release emotional tension

  • Movement to engage the psoas and pelvis gently

  • Meditation and Visualization to help you visualize release and restoration

  • Trauma Release Exercises (TRE) to release stored tension from the body

  • Journaling for self-reflection and integration
